Late Night Snack | Romans 5:3-5
There’s more to
come: We continue to shout our praise even when we’re hemmed in with
troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience
in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of
virtue, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next. In alert
expectancy such as this, we’re never left feeling shortchanged. Quite
the contrary—we can’t round up enough containers to hold everything God
generously pours into our lives through the Holy Spirit!
[1st] | Simple Thoughts.
Ideas held hostage by life and the 1,440 minutes we're allotted each day just doesn't seem like enough. Days are stolen by traffic and my creative genuis is confined to a cubicle for a quarter of the day. Where has the last 3-6 months gone? Ideas from spring weren't executed by fall and now winter is knocking. Prior, proper, planned but failed to execute. [Sigh] Too much thinking and not enough doing. This has to cease or else dreams may not be promoted to reality.

Alpha | What is Jesslosophy? Pt. 1 Q&A
I wasn't quite sure how I would formally introduce myself, so I decided to go with a good ol' Q&A. You can't go wrong with a Q&A. If you've noticed it's titled Pt. 1, because I intend to post a video as Pt. 2 [Lord's willing] by the end of this week. Leave any additional questions and/or comments you have in the comment section or send me an email. Happy reading!
Q: Why did you decide to start blogging?
A: Like most other bloggers, blogging is my creative outlet. It's a way for me to perfect my craft, share my thoughts, [faux]tography, videos and overall document my life. Lord's willing I'll inspire some along the way.
Q: Who inspires you?
A: Jesus inspires me daily. I'm also inspired by others including my mom, grandmother, sister [who I often refer to as sissy], my dear friend/sister/mentor Shelita Lee and other women [and men] that are passionate about utilizing their gifts and talents for the greater good of society.
Q: What will you be blogging about?
A: 92% of the time I beat a mean head of kinks and curls, but this is not, and I REPEAT this is not a natural hair blog.As if we need another… Am I saying that I will never talk about hair? Not at all! I'm simply saying that Jesslosophy is not dedicated to natural hair care or any one topic. I will cover a vast array of topics including but not limited to health, fashion, spirituality, food, fun and travel. In a nutshell, here you will find just about anything especially when I'm experiencing the opposite of writer's block.
Q: What do you hope to gain from blogging?
A: A J-O-B! No, I'm kidding or am I?! [insert chuckle] Not to sound cliche' but, I simply want to inspire others to do whatever it is they've dreamt about doing. Recently I've learned that no one wants to take a chance on someone who has no experience. If no one is offering you a paid position, CREATE YOUR OWN EXPERIENCE. If you're passionate about what you do and you're good at it, sooner than later the right one will notice. Remember to exersise the 5 Ps: Prayer, passion, productivity, persistence, and great presentation and you can't go wrong.Thank me later!
Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
A: In five years I'll be exceeding the world's expectations as a woman and a brown woman at that [hmph]. That statement is pretty vague, but it speaks volumes. Stay tuned to find out more ;).
